1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using FI-Project (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FI-Project (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

2. Not Financial Advice

FI-Project is a financial modeling and projection tool. All projections, numbers, and outputs are for illustrative and educational purposes only. Nothing on this Service constitutes financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice. Past performance of markets does not guarantee future results. You should consult a licensed financial professional before making any investment or retirement decisions.

The return assumptions (CAGR), inflation rates, and other parameters you enter are your own estimates. We make no representation that any projection will be achieved.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@fi-project.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to access another user's data; (c) reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the underlying calculation engine for commercial redistribution; (d) use automated means to scrape or overload the Service.

6. Subscription Plans and Payments

Paid plans (Core and Lifetime) are billed in advance. Core plans renew annually unless cancelled before the renewal date. Lifetime plans are a one-time purchase with no recurring charge. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans; contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.

7. Data and Privacy

Your financial projection data is stored securely in our database (powered by Supabase). We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data collection, storage, and your rights.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the projection engine, UI, and content, is owned by FI-Project and protected by copyright. You retain ownership of the data you enter. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial financial planning.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ACCURACY OF PROJECTIONS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FI-PROJECT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY FINANCIAL DECISIONS MADE IN RELIANCE ON PROJECTIONS GENERATED BY THE SERVICE.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, with proceedings conducted in English.
